View this email in your browser The MGFC Monthly Hey MGFC Fam! We’re back with monthly updates and are pumped to send along some extra special SOCCER LOVE on this Valentine’s Day. We’ve got a super exciting announcement and a ton of opportunities! Become an MGFC Member First things, first! Becoming a member will help speed up the registration process for future programs this year, and helps support the growth of Milwaukee Gay Football Club. Players, family, and MGFC/MGSA alumni are all welcome to join and be a part of building a stronger community. It’s just $5! Become a MGFC Member Now… can we get a drum roll, please?! We are STOKED to introduce… MGFC’s First Independent League! MGFC All Gender 5v5 Indoor Futsal Spring League Yes, that’s right! We have our own league! This is an all-gender league, meaning there are no gendered requirements for teams. WOO! Here are the details: 5v5 Indoor (Gym Floor) | 8 Team Slots Available Wednesday: March 13th to May 9th Game start times are tentatively 6:30p, 7:20p, 8:10p, 9:00p Games are two 20 minute halves + 5 min halftime Location: La Causa Charter School 1643 S 2nd St, Milwaukee, WI 53204 Sign up as a free agent or captains can sign up their teams! Registration will close February 27. Sign up here MKE Rec Spring Outdoor Futsal League We’ve signed up two teams for the MKE Rec Spring Futsal League! This is a 5v5 league for competitive levels. Orgullo FC and Blue Light Special can each accommodate 10-12 players. We are looking to build our competitive traveling team so if that interests you, you are welcome to register. Novice players will be able to participate in our internal league. Thursdays: April 25 - May 30th Game Times: 6:30 PM, 7:20 PM, 8:10 PM Outdoors at Burnham Park Turf Field Sign up here Monday Night Social Pick-Up Our Monday Night Pick-ups have exploded in popularity and we love it! We’re taking a poll to see if there’s enough interest and availability to add another night.  We’re thinking of hosting one competitive and one mixed-level pick-up. Let us know what you think at the poll! Grab your tickets here MGFC Competitive Travel Team We have the interest and enough people now to begin offering to establish a competitive traveling team under the MGFC banner. If you are interested in competing and traveling please let us know. Tournament Interest Form Become a MGFC Volunteer! We want to continue to build and expand our mission to provide safe and inclusive recreational opportunities for queer folks. We need the help of the community and loved ones to make this happen.
